Wolves don’t bark like dogs do. Ocean here who is a wolfdog demonstrates beautifully the wolf ‘puff’. It’s a subtle quiet puff bark that warns the pack of danger without alerting the enemy. Over time as wolves integrated themselves into human settlements perhaps for more easy food, man started to select the puppies with the noisiest bark as it was beneficial to him to have a warning system. Now we can’t get our dogs to stop barking! I personally prefer the discreet puff bark. Some low content wolfdogs do bark though, especially if they’ve been around dogs. Glad Midsommar Friends 💙 from the beautiful and mystical Lanyon Quoit in Cornwall. This reel took a lot of effort as I filmed the majority of it with my own tripod and camera. It’s way harder filming two wolfdogs than one, especially when hikers kept popping up to spook Ocean who is a little skittish.
