This is such an important point to share about autism, especially when it comes to children. My son, Amari, was diagnosed last year, but deep down, I already knew after working with children on the spectrum for nearly three years. It's been a journey, and though he’s non-verbal, I’m so proud of the little words he’s starting to say. Having a BA in psychology has truly helped me understand and not feel blindsided by his needs. If you’re a parent who suspects your child might have autism, please know there’s no reason to feel scared or ashamed.
