Dear Old Barn, You were supposed to be temporary. Just a little row of stalls to get us by. Nothing fancy. No big plans. Just a simple setup for a family chasing big dreams. But you became everything. You were the first barn I ever walked a horse out of to ride. The place I saddled up my first partner… and the place I learned what it meant to love something four-legged with my whole heart. You were where I saw my first foal take its first breath. Where I watched new life wobble to its feet and heard the quiet pride in my mom’s voice when she said, “This one’s special.” You were where her dreams came true where our stud stood tall, where our babies were born, raised, and shipped all over the world. You gave us world champions… and memories I’ll carry forever. You’ve seen the early mornings, the heartbreaks, the victories, the prayers. You held our greatest hopes and some of our hardest goodbyes. And now it’s our turn to say goodbye to you. You were never meant to last. But you did. For 21 years, you stood strong. Longer than we ever expected. Long enough to build everything that matters to me. Thank you for being the barn that built us. The first barn. The forever barn. Even as we let you go.
