There’s nothing wrong with getting the epidural. As a doula I’ve been a big supporter of epidurals in a wide range of birth plans. What I’m saying is if a mom make a goal for herself during labor, that goal is important. This was my fourth baby and I know my body and how to push babies out - I’m really good at it if I’m left to my own devices. The original plan was a home birth in the water, but plans change and it turned into a last minute induction at 38 weeks, something I hadn’t prepared for. What I was prepared for was how to labor unmedicated, and it was important to me to maintain that level of autonomy surrounding my wishes. When some of the staff doubted me, it just made me want to do it even more. Regardless of your goals and wishes in labor, you deserve to be supported and listened to. Don’t be afraid to say “no” and pave your own way. 💪🏼 #unmedicatedbirth #induction #hospitalbirth #homebirth #birthstory
Yes, I’m diagnosed. No, I’m not making light of ocd. Yes, I’m aware of the dangers of mixing chemicals. No, I’m not interested in your natural remedies for eliminating norovirus and/or rotavirus. Honestly my entire life has changed dramatically since I got my diagnosis and I couldn’t be happier to know I have celiac disease. So many things have fallen into place since then, and I’m a better person overall. #celiacdisease #celiac #diagnosisjourney #diagnosisstorytime #momtok #sahm #MomsofTikTok #glutenfree #storytime
