Creole cafe in Tokyo?! I’ve been in Japan for less than a day and have already been transported back to Louisiana! A little backstory for you… I met two of the band members from Zydeco Kicks here in Tokyo last year, Kaz and Hiromi, after over a decade of them being pen pals with my dad and bonding over both Cajun and Creole history and my grandpa Rod Bernard’s music. A few months later, we welcomed them into our home in Lafayette so they could attend and play at Festival Acadiens et Creoles, which is when I first met Yoshi. THEY DID NOT TELL ME ABOUT HIS CAFE!!!
