I didn’t transition because it was “in.” Transitioning is not a trend. I didn’t transition because I wanted to experience transphobia and judgement from people who lacked empathy, sympathy or a sense of understanding ANY experience other than their own. I did not transition because I couldn’t wait to be harassed literally every day online for simply existing and trying to be happy like every other person on this planet is TRYING to do. I didn’t transition because I didn’t want to be a girl. I transitioned because I never was one. And I knew that someday I’d be strong enough to fight for a body that could match who I knew I was inside. I transitioned for that little boy who was forced to socialize as a girl.
