I’m 7 years into building @faytlabel and I’m yet to touch $1 from our profits! On #BigBusinessPodcast I’m here to keep it real with you - someone asked me this question in my DM’s and I’ve dedicated a whole episode to answering it. So why have I chosen to not take a cent of profits at this stage? Is it because I feel guilty? Is it because I feel like I don’t deserve it? Is it because I don’t know what I’d do with it? Is it because I have absolutely no idea? Is it because I’m an idiot? It’s a bit of all of the above and a whole lot more. And does my accountant think I’m crazy? Yes. Listen to this week’s episode of #BigBusiness where I deep dive into this topic and give you a look into my world and just exactly why I haven’t dipped into our profits in 7 years. Guess what, sometimes shit doesn’t work out the way you’d hoped it would! And that’s exactly what’s happened with our @faytlabel Adelaide store that we’ve been working on for the last 4-5 months! 🙃🥲 I want to use my social media platform to share the realities of business with the world, because IT’S NOT BLOODY EASY! We get asked daily to open more stores around the country and I always think if only it was that easy! 😅 We had our location locked in, our builders engaged, we were working with the town planners & city council, the stock was ordered, everything was ready to go and I was about to sign that dotted line but one little clause got completely in my way. In all commercial leases, if you choose to break your lease during the term, it’s standard that you need to find another business to take over it, but never in my 7 years have I seen the clause that was in this particular contract, and it just didn’t sit right with me - so I pulled the pin. I negotiated as hard as I could, tried to give the owner confidence that I’m sure we would NEVER have to break the lease anyway, so it’s something we’d never have to worry about but they wouldn’t budge — and I completely respect their decision because at the end of the day, I’m just a tenant and their rules are their rules! After all, I am a huge believer in fate and everything happening for a reason! One door closes, another door opens! Back to square one 💪 PS if you want to hear the story in FULL, listen to my podcast Big Business 🎧 * I really want to stress that I am not making this video to shame the landlord of this property, I completely respect their decisions when it comes to clauses in contracts. This video is purely to share my business journey on social media and the realities that come with it. #fayt

After setting this one up I’m actually questioning why I never got one sooner! This was so therapeutic 🎅🏼✨ I’m officially a Christmas girly 🎁 I think this is all I’ll do decorations wise this year, watch me decking out the entire house next year 🤣
Today’s Big Business Podcast episode is all about opening @faytlabel store number 5! Because as exciting as it is, there’s also a lot that can go wrong. 5 stores in, we’re more prepared than ever before 💪 Listen to #BigBusiness wherever you get your pods 🎧
